Meg was born and raised in South Africa and had the pleasure
& good fortune of moving to the great city of Austin, TX in 2005.
Food and cooking has always been a major part of what family and home means to her and that comes across in all that Spoon & Co has to offer.
"Great food is like a shared ritual or experience that creates a common memory, I live for that."
With a Fine Art Degree, in Studio Painting and Philosophy of Art, she soon turned her Artistic skills to the kitchen. She has been catering and creating food experiences for people from Cape Town to Austin and beyond ever since.
Her signature style of food marries robust global flavors with bright, fresh local produce and seasonal authenticity.
Meg is a proud member of the Austin Chapter of Les Dames D'Escoffier and is dedicated to promoting the work of exceptional women working in the culinary, beverage, and hospitality industries.
She loves to give back to the community and nurture people with delicious food.
